The CPU heat sinks can be divided into three cooling types: air cooling, heat pipe cooling and liquid cooling 

Air cooled cpu heat sink

Air cooled heat sink is the most common type of heat sink, including a cooling fan and a heat sink. The principle is to transfer the heat generated by the CPU to the heat sink, and then take the heat away by the fan. It should be noted that different types and specifications of CPU use different heat sinks. For example, AMD CPUs processor and Intel CPUs processor use different cpu heat sinks. Heat pipe cpu heat sink

The heat pipe cpu heat sink is a heat transfer element with extremely high thermal conductivity.
